70th Wine Festival Döttingen
The largest wine festival in German-speaking Switzerland takes place every year on the weekend of the 1st Sunday in October.
With more than 50,000 visitors, the 3-day wine festival is being celebrated this year for the 70th time in honor of the regional wine producers. Over 20 catering stands, various wine tasting stands and a large Luna Park, two large show stages with music acts, on Saturdays there is a large winegrowers’ market with over 100 market stalls and the “Prix Saltimbanque”. And on Sundays the big winegrowers’ parade takes place. Around 50 original subjects can be admired.
The volunteer board organizes the festival with numerous hard-working helpers from the region. The Winzerfest association now has over 3000 members, who form the foundation of the unique festival.
