Thurgau Vineyard Trail Iselisberg
The vineyard hike leads from Oberneunforn towards Frauenfeld along the famous Iselisberg vineyard area.
The high-level trail offers a wonderful view of the Thurtal valley and, on a clear day, as far as the Bernese Alps. A highlight of this route are the many cute little vineyard houses along the way. The hike ends with a stop at Ittingen Charterhouse, a former Carthusian monastery in Warth. Today, the old monastery walls house a hotel, restaurant, museums and an estate that also grows wine.
In the restaurant, delicacies are conjured up using the monastery’s own numerous products – best enjoyed combined with a glass of Ittingen wine.
