Set in the heart of the Lavaux Vineyard Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Chardonne Wine Harvest Festival celebrates the end of the grape harvest with an authentic, welcoming atmosphere that showcases the region’s rich wine heritage and traditions.
For two days, the picturesque village of Chardonne comes alive as visitors are invited to discover the wines, gastronomy and culture of one of Switzerland’s most spectacular wine regions. Local winemakers personally welcome guests to taste their wines, share their passion and offer a unique insight into the craftsmanship that has shaped Lavaux for generations.
One of the festival’s highlights is its two spectacular Tavolatas, each bringing together up to 500 guests around a single long table in the heart of the village. Combining regional cuisine, Chardonne wines and genuine Swiss hospitality, these communal meals offer an unforgettable culinary and social experience.
Throughout the festival, live music, traditional entertainment, artisan markets, wine-related demonstrations and family activities create a vibrant atmosphere where visitors can experience local traditions and meet the people behind the wines. More than just a harvest celebration, the Chardonne Wine Harvest Festival is a true wine tourism experience, bringing together exceptional wines, local gastronomy, living traditions and the breathtaking landscapes of Lavaux. It offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in one of Europe’s most remarkable vineyard landscapes and discover the authentic spirit of Swiss wine country.
