Chemin du Vignoble

The Vineyard Trail leads from Martigny to Leuk through the vineyards of Valais. Three routes are available: one for road traffic, one cycle path and one hiking trail. The 65-kilometre hiking trail comprises mostly natural paths and lies at an altitude of 450 to 800 metres. The cycle path is 82 kilometres long and is part of the Veloland Schweiz network. The road is designed in such a way that it can also be used by buses. The Vineyard Trail runs along the sunny side of the Rhone Valley, where some of the best wines in Switzerland are produced. Vineyards line the path that takes you past the famous castles of Tourbillon and Valère. While you’re there, visit the Valais Wine Museum in Sierre and in Salgesch and enjoy the views of the Valais mountains from numerous vantage points. Plan your breaks in the wine villages where you can savour the regional products and, of course, the Valais wine.
