Eastern Switzerland Wine Route
The East Switzerland Wine Route leads from Schaffhausen through Thurgau to St. Gallen.
The 90-kilometre bike tour can be cycled in sections. In Thurgau, the route leads along the Thur with a constant view of the well-sunlit vineyards, past the foot of the Ottenberg south slope near Weinfelden. This region is home to some of the best winegrowers in Thurgau. According to Gault Millau, the Burkhart adventure winery is once again one of the 150 best winegrowers in Switzerland this year. Here, visitors can learn more about production, take a look in the wine cellar and taste the excellent wines.
For a snack in between, it is worth making a detour to the Sunnehalde vineyard.
