After arriving in Schinznach Bad, we’ll take a leisurely hike along the Aare River, cross the bridge, and reach the village of Villnachern. Here, we’ll treat ourselves to our first coffee break. Afterward, we’ll head briskly up to the vineyards, where Michel Jaussi’s Pinot also grows.
In Linn, we’ll visit the legendary linden tree: we’ll embrace the tree and feel its energy. Then we’ll stroll effortlessly to the Zur Linde winery, which Michel acquired in 2002 and turned into a wine gathering spot. There’s surely still room in your backpack for a bottle of Pinot.
We continue uphill, rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Lucerne Alps. Anyone who wants to can have a barbecue here at one of the grill sites. Then we reach the 13th-century Schenkenberg ruins, arguably the largest in the canton of Aargau. The first part ends in Thalheim, and we take a bus, a train, and another bus back to the Hirschen.
