Castel de Daval

At the Castel de Daval, you spend the night in a medieval-looking tower in the middle of the vineyards. The former water tower was built in 1949. It served as a water reservoir to irrigate the vineyards and as shelter for the winegrowers. Built with dry stone on the rock, the structure was converted into a dwelling in 1970 and opened as a guesthouse with five en-suite guest rooms in 2009. Today, the Colline de Daval is run as a family business in the fifth generation. In 2019, they won the Swiss Wine Tourism Award in the Architecture and Landscape category. During your stay, you have the opportunity to taste the house’s own wines and explore the vineyards on foot or by e-bike. The next morning you can enjoy a breakfast buffet with local products and fruit from their own garden.
